Description

Final nordic skiing session of the winter, probably. At least in resort. La Feclaz closed yesterday and I'd hoped things would still be okay for skiing today. Well apart from some old tracks here and there it was fine (note: take the classic tracks when there are frozen ruts on the skating piste). I did a tour of the three access points but didn't ski as far as last year as the conditions were not quite so good and I had a bit less time. Chatted to French champ. Antonin Guigonnat at the car park. He was doing some sponsor work today.

Conditions

Icy at 9am with old tracks around the Feclaz entrance making skiing tricky as you got caught in the "rails". Much better after 10am. The skiing around the St Francois and Crolles entrances was a lot better - probably fewer people skating round yesterday evening.
