La Grave: Crevasse Ate my Draglift

Andy has reported that the draglift that links La Grave with Les Deux Alpes was swallowed by a crevasse during the summer heatwave.

The middle pylon fell into a crevasse during the extreme hot weather conditions experienced in France during August.  The lift was supposed to be operational for the opening of la Grave on the 21st of December but high winds have hampered the repairs.

We checked the webcam earlier and indeed there is no trace of the lift.  Worth checking if you are hoping to ski across to La Grave.  Glaciers move all the time and ski resorts often have to make repairs to the lifts.
