just read this tragic story....this has implications on skiers being able to trigger air bags in an avalanche.

Yes it does have training implications. I think what goes for AvaLung also applies to ABS. It would be nice to have a training system with the same trigger mechanism that would simply indicate if it was actuated or not rather than inflating the bags.

The Daily Mail reporting is a bit intrusive, I’m not sure phoning up his neighbours really adds anything to this sad story but I guess that is their job.

As far as I know training handels exist: they are red instead of white.
