Last Thursday was warm but chilly and I decided to explore some longer routes on the Grand Som. The idea was to climb by a trail called the 120 Lacets (hairpins) and descend by the Crete des Aures. About 1100 meters and 11km walking. I didn’t count the hairpins but there didn’t seem to be that many. The descent by the crete des Aures is cabled but the path is pretty easy and all the iron mongery seems a bit uncesssary.

If you have Google Earth installed the GPS routes are here.
