We wandered over to the Couple Icare in Lumbin this morning and I thought I’d share a few photos.

First there was a low flying exercise in which the balloons scraped along the ground at a meter or so causing spectators to duck. The 15 hot air balloons driften en-massee over this field before floating back to their starting point.

They then dropped ballest such as the small children they’d been carrying, over the sides to get lift off.

Up Up and away! To be joined by hang gliders and paragliders throwing themselves off the nearby Chartreuse mountains.
