Leaving on Saturday morning for my first ever ski trip to Austria! Any tips on straight forward day tours in the Galtur/Ishgl area? Don’t have time for the full silvretta traverse but struggling to find information on anything else. Any advice much appreciated.

The Jamtal Hut is a great base for day tours in the Silvretta, Easily accessible on skis from Galtur, or if you ring them they come and pick you up in a skidoo from the trailhead!

Hintere Jamspitz, Dreilander Spitz and other peaks can all be done as day tours from this very pleasant base.
