Avalanche Observations

Snowline Up/Down: 1400 meters (4593 feet)
Avalanche Risk: 2

Route Taken: Descended the east side of the Grand Rocher
Road Access Snow from the Col du Barioz

Vertical Climbed: 725 meters (2379 feet)
Distance: 7.6 km
Weather Sunny, some clouds

Short ski tour to check out the conditions. Not too bad in the end. Destructured snow where it is shady - west bowls of the Grand Rocher. NE face of the Grand Rocher. Still a lot of skiable snow around if you take the more exotic routes. Then hardpack from above the Chalet de Pierre Roubet - like a ski piste. Overall good skiing.
