There's not much snow, about 10cm on the road (as opposed to 45cm measured Meteo France on the field next door. So it doesn't bode well for an end of season. The road had been pisted so climbed well to the Oratoire (PB 38 minutes - 450 VAM) then crusty to the Bergeries. At the Bergeries I met up with a guy who suggested we pressed on "off piste" to just below the final climb to the Charmant Som at 1750 meters. Another 100 meters of V+. We then skied around the plateau a bit. He told me he does this at the end of season - maybe it is already here?
I took it easy on the ski back down. The snow is good but I would need to do some serious work to ski fast on skating skis.
