I've not skied up at Barioz this year although the conditions have been better than last season at this altitude with good snow cover on the refuge piste. The Ramiette piste is blocked after about 2km by fencing and a dirt section, it looked skiable beyond but I didn't try any further. Snow was soft at 1400 meters, no refreeze.
Climb to the Refuge is in good condition with snow improving with altitude. However it was a bit soft which made the climb hard work even if I'm a long way off my 2015 fitness levels.
