Lombarde

The Lombarde is strong wind blowing from Italy and affecting the frontier regions of the Maurienne, Haute-Tarentaise and Haute-Alpes. It is particuarly known on the col of the Mont-Cenis and then blows strongly down teh Maurienne valley. It is caused by a deep low pressure off Corsica.
