Val d'Allos

The Val d'Allos area is situated in the Southern Alps region. The area has suffered from management problems, in particular the bankruptcy of Transmontage[1]. In July 2008 management of the ski area was taken over by a former manager of Transmontagne Group. The contract had been contested by opposition members of the Val d'Allos council. In November 2008 the Community of Communes fo the Haut-Verdun agreed to invest 18 million euros into the ski area to bring the infrastructure up to modern standards. The money will be split between le Seignus and la Foux.
