Cormet De Roselend

Ski Areas > Northern Alps > Beaufortain

The Cormet de Roselend (GPS Waypoint N 45.6914°, E 06.6889°) is a minor summit in the Beaufortin range. Not intersting in itself but the road pass of the same name provides some excellent late season ski touring. In a normal year the north facing bowls are practical until the second half of May.

Road access is either from Albertville via the D925 to Beaufort (petrol station) then the D217 to the col. The road is closed during the winter but normally opens around the start of May. Alternatively you can take the D902 from Bourg St Maurice and the Tarentaise side of the col.
