Description

Traditional end of season at les Arcs. We didn't ski the whole 4 hours of our lift pass as I'm still recovering from my January accident but we were not far off. Fantastic skiing conditions but for a bit of ice on the Aiguille Rouge black where it had got scraped by side slippers. The Malgovert black itinerary was excellent, more a red in these conditions. From the Aiguille Rouge we managed about 1400m in a single run, in about 14 minutes. We finished off with the Peisey blues and reds, making progress without taking any risks. Hardest part was going up and down the stairs at Peisey to the car-park. 42.50 euros for the 4 hour pass, which was good value imho.

Conditions

About 10cm of fresh snow overnight. Just cold enough without being too cold with some nice sunshine. Best conditions I skied this winter. Off piste, not enough fresh snow to hid old, frozen tracks but we were not really here for the off piste. Not busy apart from the Aiguille Rouge.
