Description

We'd heard the Sept Laux was opening after another 50cm of fresh snow at the summit of the pistes bringing the total to 1 meter. We made it up around 9.15 but didn't finish with the ticket office queue until 9.45. They have a new hands free system - then we found it wasn't working and no-one was checking tickets! There wasn't a huge amount open but we did a few loops around the Oudis which kept us amused for a couple of hours. Very good early season conditions this year but a thaw is coming next week.

Conditions

Cold, start of a foehn moving a lot of snow around. A few stones on the south-east facing runs from the Oudis. Difficult to ski off piste - rocks not far from the surface and windblown snow.
