Description

I crossed Jean Marc Mora on the climb to Lancey, I'd last seen him about 5 years ago. He's still doing monster rides, today he'd ridden to Chambery and back but he's done stuff like the Tour du Galibier from Grenoble too. Great to see an older guy still riding well. I was feeling a bit tired and finished by riding over the col du Poya then descending via St Jean le Vieux and Domene. A pleasure to be out on my carbon bike for a change which really does ride well.

Conditions

Pleasant weather, about 18C in the valley at midday so t-shirt weather still. You can begin to feel the chill at altitude, especially in the shade. Roads all good, for once!
