Description

Short tour with junior (who was testing lighter TSL snow shoes) to l'Alpette which is a small field (hence the name) on the Aulp du Seuil climb. The route is  safe from avalanche risk  as it is protected by a dense forest and the slopes above cannot accumulate enough snow to reach the trail. Ski down was pretty good fun on the path and not too shabby on the pistes which had been bashed  in part although the cover was thin.

Conditions

Snowcover was thin, some visible stones and rocks but no hard done to bases
