Description

Stopping near a stagnant drainage ditch by the Domene municipal dump was sub optimal. I was immediately attacked by wave after wave of tiger mosquitoes. After getting moving as fast as I can the first obstacle was the railway crossing. On skating I tend to go straight over but on classic skis I had visions of getting a wheel caught in a track and getting mowed down by a train like you see in the bad TV movies but in fact it was pretty straight forward. The climb to Japin went a bit quicker today and the descent after the crossroads was easy on slow rollerski wheels. I then had to get my skates on, so to speak to get to  la Pérérée and the long run back to Murianette. At la Murianette I put my skis back on to return to the car under a sun that was now beating down mercilessly.

Conditions
