Description

Classic lunch loop for local riders and used in an autumn hill climb. The road is largely in the shade, great in high summer, very cold in the late autumn and even icy in the winter. The ride down to Revel is fast, windy and exposed.

Trip Report

Turned into a bit of a rush as I left at 2pm and had an appointment at 3.45! Misjudged how long it would take to climb to Revel, planned 25 minutes and took 35 minutes.

Conditions

Lots of leaves on the roads and other bits of debris from the weekend rain.

High clouds, some sun, warm, wind from north down valley. Roads wet in places from the morning rain.
