Practice double polling, freeski, gear 1 and gear 2. I didn't feel like going out too much to be honest due to tiredness but glad I made the effort really.
What did I learn?
Need to get forward on the pole plant in order to extend hips and roll shoulders to get maximum force for pushing rather than using arms as much. It is a change in technique and will need more practice. Still not lifting heels when skating but it will come.A few twigs here and there but very clean considering the recent storms. Very hot and muggy. Quite a few joggers and cyclists. The river is very full with the rain and meltwater. Not too many bugs. (I got stung last time I skied here)
