Practice double polling, freeski, gear 1 and gear 2. I didn't feel like going out too much to be honest due to tiredness but glad I made the effort really.
What did I learn?Need to get forward on the pole plant in order to extend hips and roll shoulders to get maximum force for pushing rather than using arms as much. It is a change in technique and will need more practice. Still not lifting heels when skating but it will come.
A few twigs here and there but very clean considering the recent storms. Very hot and muggy. Quite a few joggers and cyclists. The river is very full with the rain and meltwater. Not too many bugs. (I got stung last time I skied here)
