If you wondered what it is like to ski the north face of the Dome de Miage Laurent (Piolet15) has put together this film with helmet cam footage:
A fantastic north face, excellent conditions except for the 150 meters near the summit which we skied around. The start of the descent on the Metrier ridge is just as hard as the North face, steep and exposed. After we plunged into the North Face where we found slightly transformed snow, sometimes hard but with good grip which let us link turns without problems to the bottom of the face. Vincent, my ski buddy “du jour” was on a Skwal, he couldn’t enjoy the slope like me, he’d lost one of his ski poles!
