The Dauphine Libere is reporting that seven climbers spent a chilly night out on the Taillefer mountain to the south-east of Grenoble after getting lost in poor weather and snowfall. One of the climbers suffered frostbite to her feet and another a sprained ankle.
The climbers were described as “experienced” and residents of Grenoble. They were ice climbing on the mountain and got lost decending from the face. The climbers were found at 2000 meters altitude. Two of the group had become detached and were found in a zone of cliff bands.
