Sallenches based Dynastar, still part of the Quiksilver/Rossignol group, has had its some of its 2008 skis in the shops for most of the 2007 season so there will be no big surprises. For most of the range the changes only go as far as the topsheet. Formica, or is that wood effect, is in, especially in the women’s all mountain skis.
The big change is the new Dynastar Legend Mythic Rider
This is an all mountain ski with 88mm underfoot. It weighs in at under 3.6kg for a pair putting it firmly in the sites of any freerando folk looking for a tool for powder days. Take a 172cm rather than a 178 and you save a couple of hundred grams and have something you could throw around between the trees or when the going gets tight.
For female freestylers the Dynastar She’s Trouble BC has some superb Indian diety graphics. The ski’s have the same dimensions and weights as the mens Big Trouble so one wonders if Dynastar, who have been at the forefront of women’s ski design, have just slapped a girly topsheet on this one.
