THE MOUNTAIN OF HELL, EPISODE 7, “BACK TO THE FUTURE”, 20th to 22nd July 2007

Les Deux Alpes and Mountain biking - it’s a duo that works very well.

After starting the summer season with the Mountain Bike Mondial on the 21st to 24th of June the resort of les Deux Alpes will host another mountain bike event on the international calendar - THE MOUNTAIN OF HELL, épisode VII, Back to the Future.

For the 7th successive year the event, organized by the Choucas Bikers team, takes place on the mountain bike tails of les 2 alpes starting on Friday the 20th July.

The Mountain of Hell is a mountain biking downhill event, open to all and lasting 3 days with a practice day on the 20th of July and two days of competition on the 21-22nd July. It brings together amateurs and pros with the main aim of enjoying the freeride potential of the area in a friendly atmosphere. The downhill Derby is limited to 400 racers on the glacier with 2500 meters of vertical (better change that hydraulic fluid) over 25km. The 2006 edition was won by Nicolas Vouilloz in half an hour. Ten times world downhill champion this was his first time at the the Mountain of Hell… watch out, he is back again this year.
