A 40 year old dutch man was killed by an avalanche on Monday afternoon in the Diavolezza region above Pontresina in the Grisons. According to press reports the man, accompanied by 2 friends was off piste skiing. They were skiing a steep couloir at the time of the slide. The man was carried 100 meters down the slope. His companions were able to locate the victim using an avalanche beacon.
