Basically working on diagonal stride rhythm and weight transfer and trying to lengthen glide.

Rollerski with slow wheels, quite good for the arms and technique but managed to fall despite the wheels being safer, doh! Took over an hour to do the return trip - 5m/km.

Usual 4x8 min intervals. Timed it better to finish the intervals on the climb and a part of the descent.

First intervals for a long time. I decided to try 4x8. First set was hard but after ok but need a bit of a slope to get the HR up.

Took it relatively easy. HRM was reading below 140 for most of the way but it was my optical monitor so not sure about the accuracy. A bit hard after the hours. 4m17 per km.

Not as quick as May due to the heat, VAM of 900, not bad. The climb has quite a bit of shade, so not bad on a hot day.

I wanted to skate home from work. Around 15km along the tow path which seemed to be the only valid route and then only possible with cross skates as 6km is on gravel tracks.

I don't know why I was so slow today. 29 minutes each way. Out of practice and tired arms I guess. First rollerski of the year anyway.

Back on my inline skates for balance, felt better than last year but can still feel every spec of gravel !!!
