Charmant Som under the foehn
I started on the pistes then took the link over to Charmant som across the pistes. The snow at the col was hard and skiable, a bit of late autumn crust skiing.

Very hard climb
This must be close to my limit for sustained climbing.

Janvril on Pravouta
With a return to winter, or Janvril as it is known it seemed like a good idea to take a tour. It was possible to start from le Baure climbing up through the pastures towards the Col du Coq.

Plateau d'Arselle on SloMo
A false good idea going to the Arselle after a super-hot February (one of the hottest since 1900). I actually had to skate all the way down the descent of the normally superfast Astragal.

Crust skiing on the Sagnes marshes
A tour of the Sagnes marches which I'd not done for some time and Thibaut had never been here. Unfortunately the runs were only partially open.

Training Day
Training morning with the SN Chartrousin then a climb to the Bergeries of the Charmant Som to warm up (climb took a reasonable 37m56 and the descent a speedy 7m17)

Pravouta: The early bird catches the worm
A quick "before work" to see what the fresh snow had brought. I started at 7am and with the fog kept my head torch all the way to the summit an hour later. Excellent skiing and no one around.

Bergeries du Charmant Som
The top of the Charmant Som plateau had been pisted to make up for the lack of trails lower down. A real treat to do a couple of loops in pleasant conditions although we do the same crust skiing.

Alpe Quaggione from Montebuglio, Lake Maggiore, Italy
General DescriptionThe climb is 14% over 5km for 700 meters of climbing. The climb through the village of Montebuglio is very steep but afterwards settles down to 12-13% with a series of steep ramps.
