I'd thought about heading to the Belledonne but cloud was developing at 7.30 and the Chartreuse was clear. There was also a strong N.

Luc said that there was a weather window on the Chartreuse between 10 and 1pm and so it turned out (thanks to meteociel.fr).

It had snowed a bit on Saturday night and there were reports of "ok" conditions in the Chartreuse on Sunday despite the poor weather.

With limited time it was back to the Aulp de Seuil and the Comma Couloir. I was somewhat concerned about the snow conditions so didn't struggle to start early. I set out at 9.

I parked at le Meuniere and took the fields under the pylons towards the Col du Coq.

The snow transformed late today but as I had to be somewhere at 11.30 I couldn't wait for it.

Nice and easy because I have a slight cold and sore throat so had to climb at a reasonable rate without forcing too much, especially as I was breaking trail.

I had a limited amount of time so started higher up than yesterday at les Meunieres. I took the fields finding a gap at the top of the first field, it is quite a good plan.

I wanted to see if I could climb directly from the salt depot at the Pont de la Gorgette but the path disappears into the woods and it is not clear where it goes.
