The Bellin Couloir is found just to the North of the cable car station and crosses under the cable descending 400 before it joins the Combe du Brévent giving a total of 1500m of descent to the valley in good conditions. Sections are 40 degrees with an elbow in the middle which can make route finding difficult.

Couloir opened in the 1940s by the guide Fernand Bellin, a real achievement on the gear at the time. The Bellin family roots can be traced back at least as far as the 15th century in Chamonix.
