Aspect: North-West
Difficulty: 3.3/E2
Equipment: Crampons, Ski Crampons. Remarks: If you ski down via the Col de Mottes the difficult drops to 3.2. In the spring wait for the direct route from the summit to soften, there have been serious accidents due to falls on icy snow here.

From the resort take the GR Pays de 7 Laux trail. If you start from the Oursière a small track descends to the Chalet du Pra. After crossing the Masse stream climb the slopes under the Rocher de l’Evêque into the Vouteret valley. Climb to the head of the valley and climb to the ridge (pt 2539 on the IGN Map) that leads to the summit (antenna) via the Col de Mottes. At the col climb 50 meters to the SW to reach the summit.

This is a very popular route and you are liable to meet skiers coming from the Allemont valley and Prabert at the summit.

Road Access

Grenoble > Goncelin Exit from the autoroute > Allevard > > Les 7 Laux / Le Pleynet In the spring their is a road that climbs to the Oursière (1650m) but you risk a fine.
