Description

One of the major Belledonne couloirs. Around 600 meters of skiing although never too steep. A classic line.

I did the following tour Oule -> Clarans -> Moretan -> Pertuis. The skiable snow was to 1650m but I had to remove skis twice in the couloir which was most unpleasant due to the steepness and the snow. The snow is not bad, especially at altitude, but there are a lot of stones on the snow.

Partial track due to GPS problem... but hey it is 2010!

Conditions

Finally a bad idea. The snow bridges over the river in the Couloir de Pertuis are very thin and there is a raging torrent underneath. If you fell through you'd be drowned. The Belle Etoile still seems to be in good condition if you fancy some July skiing. The east face of the Gleyzin, Fontaines and Clarans are dry. Comberousse has no snow cover on part of the north face. the Pilllier porte de l'Eglise is scared by large "goulottes", probably not good skiing.

I used my bike to ride to around 1450 meters.
