XVIe Derby de la Meije
The 16th Derby de la Meije will be held between the 29th of March and 2nd of April 2004. Last year nearly 1000 riders from 22 countries took part on the course over the Vallons de la Meije route at la Grave.

North Face Freeride Comp - Les Arcs
North Face has taken over from RipCurl for the 6th Les Arcs Freeride event held over five days between the 1st and 5th of March 2004. The competition is still part of the World Tour, won by Manu Gaidet in 2003.

Per Ardua Ad Astra
The weekend of the 19th-21st December sees the 2nd edition of the Rendez-vous des Etoiles at the Pic du Midi observatory near to la Mongie in the Hautes Pyrénées. 5 star riders and 5 star yachtsmen are heading the guest list this year to the Vaisseau des Etoiles (star ship) observatory on top of the 2877 meter peak.

SwallowMania - La Grave
The third edition of SwallowMania is scheduled for the 6/7th of February, 2004 at la Grave. Boarders and skiers can test the latest swallowtail snowboards and fat skis in a party atmosphere.

Mondial du Ski - Les Deux Alpes, Trip Report
Worries about lack of snow after the summer heat wave turned to concerns about safety as a weather system crossed France dumping over a meter of fresh at altitude. On Thursday the lifts finally opened at 1pm giving the few skiers and boarders present for the “pro” day excellent conditions to ski and test the latest gear.
