Tignes Skier in Fatal Fall

A German skier was killed in a fall at the edge of a crevasse while skiing off piste on the Grande Motte glacier at Tignes this afternoon.  The skier, a 34 year old German national was at 3,300 meters altitude suffered fatal head injuries.  He had crossed ropes and a ski piste reserved for competition.
