Snowboard Touring

Following October’s introductory article on off piste skiing and ski touring we are taking a look at snowboard touring. On the face of it the snowboard would seem to be the ideal off-piste tool. But if you have to do any more than a short climb from the top of the ski lifts the disadvantages become all too obvious. This article explores the possibilities and was prepared with the assistance of PisteHors’ snowshoes guide, Stef LeDauphin.
