Heliski Bandits Update

The SAF (Secours Aérien Français) has admitted it was one of their helicopters based in l’alpe d’Huez that dropped clients of a ‘Grenoble mountain magazine’ on the Rochail on the 19th of April.  SAF claim to have had official permission for the drop from the mayor Villard Notre-Dame for professional reasons.  However the mayor was unable to provide Mountain Wilderness with a copy of the authorisation and all the mountain magazines based in Grenoble (Skier, Montagnes...) denied any involvement in the operation.
