AIARE Avalanche Course Dates
Mountain Tracks are running a series of AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Courses based in France over the coming season. The course is over 2½ days, largely on the mountain and is ideal for anyone with some prior backcountry experience, say skiing with a guide and who wishes to improve their skills.
The courses are run by IFMGA recognised mountain guides and an AIARE Level 1 certification is issued upon completion of the course. The course is an ideal basis for anyone wishing to improve their avalanche skills prior to off-piste skiing, snowboarding or climbing. The course covers the avalanche phenomenon, avalanche terrain, decision making and rescue.
Course dates are available from early December to March with locations in Tignes, Val d’Isère Chamonix and Morzine. You do not need to be able to ski off-piste in order to complete the course.
