Well summer is here (ok it is going to snow next week) and the shops have finally cracked and started offering sale bargains, esp. on skis, here are some I spotted:-

Sport Conrad
http://www.sport-conrad.com/page/product-detail/__/shop/prod/1791 - Atomic Descender for 199 euros.

http://www.sport-conrad.com/page/product-detail/__/shop/prod/1756 - Dynastar Alti Patrouille Des Glaciers 10/11, 299 euros. Not the lightest ski out there but tried and tested for the lycra mob.
http://www.sport-conrad.com/page/product-detail/__/shop/prod/1752 - Dynastar Powder, 300 euros. Ski like Pierre Tardivel!

How about these downhill guns:
http://www.sport-conrad.com/page/product-detail/__/shop/prod/18272 - Coreupt Guerlain Chicherit 09/10 111m underfoot (but over 4kg) for, wait for it, 99 euros! Maybe I’ll get a pair for resort skiing wink.

binding wise, how about the silvretta Pure Performance for 199 euros?

No bargains on Dynafit despite the new range next year. I suspect people (at least sensible people) will stick with what they know and works. Although a 2012 toe with a 2011 rear might be a good mix.

Telemark Pyrenees

http://www.telemark-pyrenees.com/en/volklnanuq1011-p-8187.html - Volkl Nanuq - 175 euros, similar programme to the Snoop but a bit heavier at 3.5kg.
http://www.telemark-pyrenees.com/en/dynafitnangaparbat1011-p-6495.html - Dynafit Nanga parbat - add a couloir ski to your quiver.
