Headed up to the Col du Coq this morning. This ski resort has been closed since 1995 although it was always known as a good spot for keeping its snow. You can see the pistes here.

I wanted to go up to the col and take some photos. This is the Manival valley

one day it will snow enough to ski down here grin

The snow had been blitz by the north winds on Monday. Summits were bare but there were some nice accumulations in the micro-valleys (thalwegs) and it was almost skiable

Not really a sortie but first turns for the season.
