FIS WORLD CUP MOGUL SKIING

THE ONLY MEET IN FRANCE BEFORE THE VANCOUVER OLYMPICS

On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, the resort organizes for the second time, the second stage of
FIS World Cup mogul (Dual Moguls) to be held in the heart of Meribel on the Corbey Olympic Stadium .

The curious can watch the best freestylers in the world gathered in the heart of the 3 Valleys before the Vancouver Olympics! Assisted by many volunteers, Méribel cares for this extraordinary event!

Discipline!
The mogul is a spectacular discipline in which the skier can both express their technical qualities of the moguls and their acrobatic skills when performing jumps.

The competitions are conducted on a slope ranging from 26 ° to 32 ° for a length of 210 to 270 meters, tormented bumps
and punctuated with 2 jumps. The test consists of a phase of qualifying and finals. The score issued by 7 judges depends for 50% of the technical, 25% jumps to 25% speed. The Dual Moguls race has two skiers competiting in parallel.

The best time and ranking qualifies for the next phase. The finish determines the winner of the World Cup event. Suspense and surprises guaranteed! The future is bright for freestyle skiing, playgrounds have changed, it is not only on snow that freestylers perform their talents, but also in the air. The amalgam of both is embodied by the creativity, aesthetics, competition and most important of all, fun ... it’s the combination of skiing and acrobatics.
