The amount of snow and easy access in Whittier was eye opening. We came out of the tunnel and the snowbanks were suddenly 9 feet tall at sea level.  10-15 minutes on a sled or an hour skin to gain the Whittier glacier, which easily connects to Blackstone, Portage, Skookum and Spencer Glaicers.
Hopefully this will convince you to come check out AK.  Full Report Here
