While the focus has been on the recent “traffic jams” and deathos on Mount Everest Oz Bayldon has been playing a gig on the 6 654 mètres summit of Pic Mera in Nepal at the same time collecting 166 000 euros for charity. Bayldon, who runs a music venue in Streatham, London original held the record in 2005 but this was taken by a German group a couple of years later. The equipment, carried by 12 volunteers, consisted of 3 guitars, an iPad and a small battery powered loudspeaker. The group played for 40 minutes.
