I have downloaded the Snowpilot program and cant seem to get it to work correctly. I was told of another company called Advert, that also has a snow profile program, and wrote them several emails, but never heard from them. Does anyone knnow how I can contact them, if they still exist, if they’re on vacation....

Snowpilot is the palm based programme written in Java I believe. What kind of problems did you have?

I was trying the program on my laptop and in some windows couldn’t insert the required information. However, my post was directed toward the existence/knowledge of the Advert program.

Snowpro advertise in the Avalanche Revue journal, it is a Windows based snow profile program

Snowpilot requires Java to be installed I think

the main problem I had was using a PDA in cold weather. You need a recent Java install - the standard Java supplied with Windows can cause problems.

Those are the two programs I know of. Snowpilot is ok but I do remember some flakeyness with the user interface. I will have to give it another go and report back.
