Does this make any real difference or is it just a cosmetic distraction? I mean, how much resources does manufacturing of normal skis & boots consume, is it any way significant?

Hi Pierre,

The answer to that lies in considering skis and boots as part of a bigger picture - the global manufacture of all consumer products. The amount of resources and energy we use in the production of the huge range of items we surround ourselves with every day is certainly very significant. Methods of reducing resource and energy usage for the production of all these household items exist, and it is important that we now start to see them introduced on a mass scale, if we want to keep on consuming as we do now. So while ‘green’ skis and boots are not going to save the world on their own, they are an important cog on the path to a sustainable future. Plus, if they perform just as well (if not better), which they increasingly do now, why wouldn’t we choose them?

Cheers

Alex
