Recall of Diamir Axion-82 and Axion-82 long crampons from production year 2006

A friend of mine uses these and they are a really good idea but I was worried about the plastic bits - this seems to be a recurring theme with ski touring components.

I can’t say I use mine enough to have any real opinion on them. They seem fine. I finally checked my own and they^re model year 05 which don’t have a problem.

I also only just realised that the reason they’re called Axion 82 is that’s how wide they are which I’d not thought about before. I was thinking of getting some wider skis so I’ll need to use something else, just the classic Diamir crampons I guess.
