wasn’t “sat ski” a good one?

Hey Sparkes123,

Thanks for mentioning Satski, we’re the creators of it and it’s been popular since it was launched back in 2007.  (An aside, Satski was actually the first GPS app ever available for Windows Mobile before the iPhone had hit the scene.) Much has changed since then - Satski is available for Android, iPhone and Windows (incl. 7.5).

Satski 2.0 costs just $4.99 this season and has just been released for Android and iPhone (Windows to follow later this month) and we’re really excited with the new app - it’s a huge improvement - new UI and some new features including an online ski & board community @ http://www.luvthesnow.com that will launch with a future update.

Satski 2.0 still includes the things that made Satski popular & some new features:

* 100’s of easy-to-read GPS trail maps from ski areas in 12 countries
* Maps work off-line so Satski is free to use (just cache the map while you’ve got free data or Wi-Fi)
* Live stats (speed, distance, vertical)
* NEW! Facebook & Twitter integration - sends your ski stats straight from the app

Visit http://www.satsportsgps.com for more details.

Happy skiing!
Dave

I have been using the app from a company called Alpine Replay and loving it.

Free app available for both Iphone and Android. measures speed, vert, airtime even calories. There is GPS playback of all the runs on google earth. The best part for me about this app is the backend website that shows a full global leaderboard, lets me look at other peoples runs/stats comment and make friends with other users.

From what I can find this app works anywhere in the world and since it uses satellites you dont need a cell phone signal to log your data, just to upload the data to the website. Starting this week there is a competition feature that lets users compete for prizes.

There are download links on the website at http://www.AlpineReplay.com

Find me on the site and make friends! I love checking out other resorts and runs all over the world. My user name is Luke S.

If you need an app to save information from all these applications to share with friends and to be able to look back on your skidays, I’ve made an app for that on Facebook. There you can write about your skidays, attach photos, tag friends and upload a GPS track etc.

The application is here: https://apps.facebook.com/snowlog/

Some screenshots can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/appcenter/snowlog
