France has introduced a new “Palace” hotel rating above 5 star. 8 hotels in France have been awarded the rating, including two in Courchevel (I should probably say “chic” Courchvel in true journalistic style grin. The two establishments are les Airelles and the Cheval Blanc, that won’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who skis in Swanky 1850.

A nice junket for the 10 judges I should think.

Okay so who else looked at the hotel websites, and was shocked to find that “Russian” was not a language option smile

Strange, I could’nt find the “special offers” page or “book on line”. I wonder if they accept “air miles”smile

Nice. I cut my teeth skiing in Courchevel and was not aware of it’s status until we decided on an apres ski beverage at somewhere other than Kalico.

If I was staying in those hotels, I’d be tempted not to ski to get full value for my already measly Euro…
