The 27km high Olympus Mons is maybe a summit for the 22nd century but as detailed satellite imagery from the NASA Reconnaissance Orbiter shows it is not without risk. A small 50cm object has created a 4.5 meter impact crater causing a 200x600m sand avalanche.
