Can anyone comment on these historical bindings, they get a strong review but seem to be pretty heavy at around 2.6kg a pair

Someone is offering some for £20…

I skied with some people who were on ancient Marker bindings the other day, but not the M I think. They’d had themf for 20 years and were on long straight skis too. However note what Lou says about people selling these as being fully functional. If they’ve not been used much they might be ok but any plastics will have aged and the metal may be fatigued especially aluminium parts which don’t like the cold.

I had Marker M I guess 25 or 30 years ago! Pretty heavy while sturdy - I believe my brother has used them not so long ago… But like anything some of the parts and their assembly become progressively loose and the plastic cannot befriend ageing… The gear has made a lot of progress and I don’t think I would ‘damage’ a ski by fitting these antiques, even for free… ;)
