If you are buying winter tyres this guide may be useful

I’m off to equip the Panda tomorrow (car, not slothful black and white bear).

We’ve bought three sets before on the TCS recommendations and they’ve been great, in fact we’ve had another two sets based on the German ADAC test which I think along with th Austrian ones are actually the same tests.

Right now we’re on Blizzaks, new for this season but we had some on the last car and they were extremely good. I’ve had the Continentals on faster cars which perform very well.

Thanks I will tell the missus to get the Blizzaks if possible. I’m going to get shod in Geneve (at the World Famous Pneus Claude) next week and will look for one of the tires on the top of the list.

I’m actually flogging some winter car gear, pardon the spam !

I’ve got roofbars for a Subaru Imprezza and Legacy as well, along with bars for an Audi a6. More snow chains as well of varying sizes if I can dig out the sizes.

Went for the Hanook Ice Bear for the Panda, not tested in anger due to lack of snow but will keep you posted.

Fitted Snowtrac 3 to the car I am using for this season and was really impressed with performance in tignes a couple of weeks ago. Good on motorways and dry roads as well. Recommended to me by http://www.tyremen.co.uk
