According to various Hollywood gossip sites powder junkie Rob Lowe (St Elmo’s Fire, West Wing...) loves to explore descents where no-one has gone before, spots you can only get to by helicopter. He loves the feelign of skiing on virgin powder but his big worry is dying in an Avalanche.

He told eager journalists “there are no ski lifts, no ski runs, not a track, the powder comes up to your waist, some guys have to ski with a snorkel because otherwise they couldn’t breath. They give you an avalanche beacon in case you find yourself buried by an avalanche, and a shovel”.

Whoa, right on Robbie but maybe you should earn your turns first?

Very true. And maybe if he’s venturing into such conditions he should buy his own avalanche kit. I’m sure he can afford it! LOL

No it’s true. The snow is so deep in North America they wear snorkels! Think I’ll look a bit daft with one in the Alps though, especially with the mask and flippers!!!
