Combe de Lancey
I crossed Jean Marc Mora on the climb to Lancey, I'd last seen him about 5 years ago.
Climb via the Lancey road then the Mont short cut with a descent. Hard work up to the cross roads with St Mury but able to maintain a better pace afterwards.
Commute via St Mury Monteymond
Decided to take a long way home via the climb from Lancey to St Mury. The little road via les Chappes is quite busy in the evening, obviously well used by commuters.
Col du Lauteret
For some reason the road was much busier than expected. Arriving at the col du Lauteret there was some kind of event and cars everywhere.
Back to bike
After a lot of roller skiing over previous weeks it was nice to sit on the bike again. It was pretty hot on the climb and quite a few cars. I found out on the descent as the Revel road was closed.
Late Lunch Ride via la Murianette
Got out of work at 12h40 and it was very warm so didn't fancy riding too fast. Not bad in the shade but the final climb to Revel was an inferno.
St Eynard to the snow
Freezing today I rode as far as the snow although the road was clear to the fort. Cold hands and feet on the climb but warmed up a bit on the descent. St Eynard is certainly steep at the end.
La Combe de Lancey, Gresivaudan, Alps France
The climb of the Combe de Lancey begins at Lancey via a long drag past the old paper mills.
Murianette Loop, Rhone-Alpes, France
Classic lunch loop for local riders and used in an autumn hill climb. The road is largely in the shade, great in high summer, very cold in the late autumn and even icy in the winter.
Col du Lauteret via le Rouare, Gresivaudan, Alps, France
This is a nice quiet little climb to the Col du Lauteret (not THE col du Lauteret) by Prabert in the French Belledonne mountains near to Grenoble.
